In recent years, as a sustainable method of ecological construction, ecological revetment has attracted great attention and more relevant researches are being conducted. In this work, we chose the planting strip as the main slope protection method and then reed and festuca arundinacea were chosen as the plants in planting strip. In indoor test, the sprouting condition and the changes of roots of the seed of chosen plants were measured while the irrigation and the content of water-retaining agent varied. In outdoor slope test, according to the perform of different plant in planting strip, the changes of salt content and growth of plants were measured; Combined with climate changes, different kinds of plants were compared, and the future slope protection method were expected---the combination of ecological construction and the protection of salinized slope. These main conclusions are as follow:(1) The results of indoor potting test suggest that when the dosage of water-retaining agent is 15 g/m2 and the frequency of irrigation is 5 d each time, the seed of puccinellia has the highest germination rate; When the dosage of water-retaining agent and the frequency of irrigation respectively are 15 g/m2 and 7 d each time, the seed of reed has the highest germination rate. When the dosage and frequency are 15 g/m2 and 7 d each time, puccinellia has the longest root and stem; When they are 15 g/m2 and once, reed has the longest root; When they are 15 g/m2 and 7 d each time, reed has the longest stem. When the dosage of water-retaining agent is 20 g/m2, the germination rate of puccinellia seed and reed seed are pretty low or zero. Therefore in the process of producing planting strip for salinized slope, the suggested condition is that dosage of water-retaining agent is 15 g/m2 and the frequency of irrigation is 5-7 d each time.(2) The initial content of salt in the salinized soil was 6.78 g/kg. After the plantation of reed, the content of salt of 20 cm and 40 cm deep soil respectively decreased 27.4 % and23.01 %; After the plantation of puccinellia, the content of salt of 20 cm and 40 cm deep soil respectively decreased 30.38 % and 47.79 %;After the plantation of festuca arundinacea, the content of salt of 20 cm and 40 cm deep soil respectively decreased 14.75 % and 12.83 %.Therefore, puccinellia has the best salinization improvement effect, and reed is the second, and festuca arundinacea is the last. At the beginning of turf-establishment, the coverage extent of festuca arundinacea, reed and puccinellia were respectively 73 %, 62.7 % and 55.7 %. Thecoverage extent of festuca arundinacea is obviously higher than reed and puccinellia. This indicates that festuca arundinacea grows better than reed and puccinellia at early stage on the salinized slope, and it can be chosen as the early plant. But both of its height of plant and density were lower than reed and puccinellia at late stage. Consequently, it is suggested that festuca arundinacea can be planted mixed with reed and puccinellia to improve the rate of turf-establishment and durable years, to enhance stability of slope lawn, and to adapt to more kinds of environmental situation.
