| Since the1990’s, driven by economic globalization, many countries have actively integrated into the integration process. Because the development the global multilateral cooperation process is slow and difficult, most countries tend to promote the economic development of their own by joining the regional economic cooperation of individual countries or regions. Today regional economic integration has become the main trend of world economic. As a developing country, China actively participates in regional economic cooperation, emphasizing on the Asia-pacific economic cooperation.Along with the increase in China’s trade and economical scale and the rise in the position, especially the substantial deficit to Korea, ASEAN countries and Japan in recent years, China has become an important foreign trade partners of other economies by own active import capacity. This shows that the rapid development of China, with economic externality, led the development of the surrounding areas. Conforming to the trend of world economic development, China has been striving to participate in the regional economic cooperation on the basis of equality and mutual benefit, strengthening trade and economic relations with other countries.On May23,2001, China became a official member of the "Bangkok agreement", as the first attempt to join the trade agreement. It has the milestone significance in the history of China’s tariff. The members agreed that China must inject new vitality into the agreement, it will promote the expansion of trade scale and the growth of economic, enhance the influence of the organization. Therefore, the essay’s study helps to conforms it.The first part of the article describes the background and the theoretical and practical significance, collates relevant research literature at home and abroad. The second part introduces the theory of the theory of Customs Union, intra-industry trade and regional economic integration in developing countries. The third and fourth parts are the focus of this article.First,it elaborates the main contents of the Asia-Pacific Trade Agreement.Then,it collects the recent years’ trade data of China and the member states by calculating the trade combing index,comparative advantage index, trade complementary index, trade complementarity index and intra-industry trade index to analyze the effects of intra-regional trade size obtained an intrinsic link, such as trade creation and trade diversion,between China and the member states. Finally, by analyzing the constraints, it concludes that the states must coordinate the allocations of the roles between government and enterprise and help less developed countries, stives to improve the liberalization of trade to fulfill the development of Asia-Pacific Countries Trade Agreement. |
