A Study On The Key Factors Influencing The Logistics Efficiency Of Yunnan 's Foreign Trade Growth

With the further implementation of the "bridgehead strategy", Yunnan has become the forefront of opening up in the southwest of China. The import and export volume of Yunnan increases year by year, the growth of trade will greatly increase the market demand for logistics. As the demand scale of Yunnan’ logistics expands unceasingly, on the improvement of the social logistics service level, efficiency, higher requirements are put forward. Yunnan’ logistic has made rapid development, but the logistics efficiency of Yunnan is low, it does not match to the logistics basic condition. There is a strong correlation in improving logistics efficiency, trade expansion and economic growth. Therefore, how to improve the logistics efficiency of Yunnan so as to promote the growth of import and export trade in Yunnan province is a problem worthy of in-depth discussion.This paper adopts the method of qualitative and quantitative analysis. From the respective of qualitative analysis, we introduce the current situation of foreign trade and logistics development in Yunnan. Analyze present situation and the correlation of them. Secondly, by using DEA model to measure logistics efficiency value of 2001-2013 in Yunnan province. Thirdly, logistics efficiency has introduced into the trade gravity model, build panel data to analysis regression, and research the influence degree of Yunnan logistics efficiency on the import and export trade of Yunnan and 15 major trading countries and regions. Then, the Tobit regression model is established to analysis the regression of the factors of logistics efficiency which promote the growth of Yunnan import export trade and rank the influence factors, find out the key influencing factors. Finally, put forward to improve the logistics efficiency in Yunnan province, relevant countermeasures and suggestion are put forward to boost the growth of import and export trade. Based on the above ideas and further research, we got following conclusions: (1) the overall logistics efficiency of Yunnan is low. Yunnan logistics efficiency has not reached an average of 0.80, and there are most years which is on the stage of logistics increasing or decreasing, the logistics efficiency of most years are DEA weak valid and DEA invalid. (2) To enhance the Yunnan logistics efficiency has a positive role in promoting the growth of import and export. According to the result of the trade gravity model can found out:every 1% is increased in Yunnan logistics efficiency, the export and import trade of Yunnan and 15 major trading countries and regions. (3) Factors affecting the Yunnan logistics efficiency from big to small in turn is: the utilization of logistics resource, location quotient, the degree of opening to the outside world and economic development level. According to the model conclusion, in view of key influencing factors, this paper points out that the improvement of pure technical efficiency and logistics resource utilization, the utilization of Yunnan location advantage and the development of logistics industry are the important measures to improve the logistics efficiency and promote the growth of import and export trade in Yunnan.
