A Study On The Relationship Between Rural Human Capital And Rural Economic Growth

Modern economic growth theory show that human capital can not only promoting economic growth directly as the role of essential productive factor, but also have the externality of promoting economic growth indirectly by improving other factors’ productivity. As an important source for promoting economic growth, human capital have huge economic effects, it explains the mystery of economic growth pithily,and it fits the realistic background of the knowledge economy era.Yunnan located in southwest China, it has a huge number of rural population,and the potential human resources are very rich, but the human capital development in rural areas of Yunnan is relatively backward, which restricts the development of secondary industry and tertiary industry to a greater extent. Farmers are the main body of modern agriculture and new rural construction, only by improving farmers’ quality and the development level of rural human capital can the prosperity of rural economy be promote. Therefore, to discuss the relationship between rural human capital and rural economic growth, and explore the present situation and the existence problem of rural human resources development in Yunnan, than put forward the corresponding countermeasures, which has important practical significance for the development of rural economy in Yunnan province.By comprehensive using the literature research method, the comparative analysis,the qualitative and quantitative combined research method. Based on the economic growth theory, the human capital theory, the related knowledge of labor economics and development economics,which through the descriptive statistical analysis and economic analysis of the related data, this article discusses the relationship between Yunnan’s rural human capital and rural economic growth, and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions, The content of this paper includes the following four aspects:First, this article briefly reviewed the development process of human capitaltheory and economic growth theory; Second, it reviewed the human capital’s influence mechanism on economic growth, after comparative analysis of rural human capital and rural economy situation in longitudinal and the crosswise,the article perorates that the rural human capital of Yunnan province has developed rapidly in recent decades,bur the rural human capital is still relatively backward when compared with other provinces in the Southwest China; Third, based on the years of1992-2012 data,through building the model, using Eviews software to make unit root test and cointegration test on related variables of human capital and rural economic, it reviewed that there is a long-term stable equilibrium relationship between the rural human capital and rural economic growth,the rural human capital has a positive role in promoting Yunnan rural economy growth. Then the article calculating and anglicizing each production elements’ contribution rate for economic growth. Finally, according to the above results, it proposes some appropriate countermeasures and suggestions.
