In recent years, there were many problems in the regional pump production andsales process along with the fast development of mechanical and electrical pumpenterprises in BS area. Such as, brand infringement, product quality unevenness,proprietary technology infringement and vicious price-cutting. These problemsserious damaged economic development of outstanding enterprises. To eliminatethose problems in production, operation and service processes, the research discussedhow to develop electromechanical pump brand of BS area to completely eradicatethese phenomena and prompt the sustained and healthy development of regionalindustry.The research summarized and studied internal and international experience, andadopted the following methods: literature analysis, combining normative analysis andempirical analysis, questionnaire survey, interviews. Based on the research of internaland international regional brand construction, we conducted surveys on enterprisesand industry person by different level in BS area. Mass data were collected andanalyzed. Through interviews on technical experts, person in charge of enterprise andrelative responsible departments, we knew about industrial development program, theprincipal bottleneck and terms of settlement. The SWOT method was also applied todemonstrate the feasibility of regional whole brand construction.Based on the research of mechanical and electrical pump development in BSarea, we draw a conclusion that it is necessity and feasibility to strengthen regionalbrand construction. The realization of regional brand construction is the keyinnovative part in the research, which could be promoted by the following7aspects:the leading force of the government, supporting the leader and backbone enterprises,increasing the capacity of independence innovation, promising stricter regulation ofthe industries, improving product quality and technical promotion, developingexcellent product brand and regional brand publicity. By a series of measures, such as,enlarging enterprise scale, building product brand, improving quality technology and disposing unreasonable or illegal behavior. We could support some leading backboneenterprises, cultivate a batch of industry famous brand and improve the total regionalproduct quality and technology content. Finally, all above works will improve marketcompetitiveness and reputation of BS pump product, drive the development ofindustrial regional economy and realize the regional brand construction of mechanicaland electrical pump.
