Research On The Income Disparity Between Urban And Rural Residents Of Shandong Province

Since 1980's, the total economics of Shandong province has developed rapidly. However, the imbalance development between urban and rural areas becomes serious. The gap of income between urban and rural inhabitants is more and more expand. Based on the deep analysis of the characteristics of income gap between urban and rural areas in Shandong Province, the author hoping to raise some advices for reducing urban-rural gap and promoting the province's social &economic coordinated development..Based on carefully studying on a large amount of research and information, the author had preliminary master the reason why so serious of the gap since 1980's, after finished a large number of related database, then adopting the methods of Statistical analysis, deeply analyses the situation of the income gap between urban and rural residents in Shandong Province. Finally, on the basis of the above analysis, according to the degree of influence of each factor proposing some suggesting for increasing farmers'income and minimizing the income gap between rural and urban inhabitants.Since1980's, absolute income gap of urban and rural residents has expanded clearly in Shandong province. By the Indicator of urban-rural income ratio, we can know that, after narrowing for some years the gap of Shandong experienced a further expansion, just so as but slightly lower than the nation trend. In space, on the one hand compared the differences between cities in Shandong province, on the other hand,selected a few provinces comparable with Shandong ,put the condition of Shandong into nationwide database for more analysis. After understanding the situation of income gap between urban and rural in Shandong province , the author defined the dependent variable urban-rural income ratio, and selected 5 independent variable for Regression analysis use Eviews statistic software, and come the conclusion that, the 3 independent variable Per capita GDP, urban-rural Productivity coefficient and Urbanization rate are associated with the dependent variable. Finally, based on the all analysis the author proposes that the countermeasures include co-ordinate the development between urban and rural, Volume increase financial support for agriculture, co-ordinate social security system between urban and rural inhabitants, protect farmers'interests in the process of urbanization.
