As of December 2015,the number of internet users in China has reached six hundred and eighty-eight million, internet penetration rate has become 50.3%, among which the number of mobile phone users have reached six hundred and twenty million. More than half of chinese population has become internet users. With the continuous development of Internet technology and the increasing number of Internet users,the internet’s impact on China’s political communication is becoming more and more prominent. Comparing with traditional media, internet has characteristics of interactivity, instant and hypertext links, which brings great convenience for the collection of information. Based on this, internet has reshaped every link of political communication. Including the main body of political communication and the audience, the elements of political communication, political media and so on. Communication patterns between the government and the citizens are also doing some appropriate adjustments. However, such adjustment won’t occur overnight, it is based on the gradual improvement of the Internet technology. The Internet has gone through the previous Web1.0 phase and the current Web2.0 phase. The two stages have different influences on the development of political communication in the network.Through comparing these two stages, this article tries to predict the future trend of the internet’s impact on political communication.
