The Influences Of Internet Political Communication On Contemporary China’s Political Development

The internet politics is a new political phenomenon emerging in recent years, and it hasprofound influences on contemporary China’s political process. From the perspective ofpolitical communication, this paper takes the relationship between the government and thepublic as a starting point, discussing the positive influences of internet politics oncontemporary China’s political development. In other words, it analyses the positiveinfluences of internet political communication on contemporary China’s political developmentbased on the change of interactive relationship between the government and the public. Thispaper is divided into three parts to analyze the problem.The first part is the main relative concept analysis, including internet politicalcommunication, the relationship between the government and the public, and politicaldevelopment and contemporary China’s political development. Among them, internet politicalcommunication is the phenomenon of political communication internet as the core media, inwhich people communicate political information through the internet in order to achievecertain political purpose. The relationship between the government and the public is the basicpolitical relation. The change of character of this relationship is the important content ofcertain social and political development and the important factor to promote social andpolitical development. This part mainly analyzes the implications of the relationship betweenthe government and the public, and the present situation and existing problems of thisrelationship in contemporary China. Political development is the change process of politicalrelations in a certain society, which means the positive and progressive change in politicalfield. Then the essence and content of political development and the performance ofcontemporary China’s political development will be discussed.The second part discusses the impact of internet political communication on therelationship between the government and the public of China. Under the influence of internetpolitical communication, the relationship between the government and the public has greatlychanged. It mainly displayed in cultural psychologies, behavior characteristics and thechanges of the two relation structures. The political communication between the governmentand the public is also primarily spread to two-way communication gradually and theinteraction between the direction and the development. It also highlights the public’ssubjectivity and enhances the influence on the government gradually. The third part is based on the changing interactive relationship between the governmentand the public, analyzing the positive influences of internet political communication oncontemporary China’s political development. Under the influence of internet politicalcommunication, the interaction between the government and the public is growing. Byaffecting the relationship between the government and the public, enhancing the politicalcommunication between them, it plays positive influences on realizing the general publicdemocratic rights, strengthening government efficiency, shaping the modern political culture,and promoting political reform and the contemporary China’s political development. So, as akind of new political communication form, internet political communication has become animportant strength that influences contemporary Chinese political development.All in all, this research is to explain that internet political communication has profoundinfluences on contemporary China’s political development. Of course, internet politicalcommunication, after all, is only a technical force. The influences on the development ofcontemporary China’s politics are also limited, so we cannot blindly overstate its politicalinfluences. At the same time, this paper emphasizes that the internet political communicationhas great positive influences on contemporary China’s political development, highlighted it asa tool to promote the development of contemporary China’s politics, but it did not ignore therole of traditional mediated political communication. Internet political communication andtraditional mediated political communication are complementary and co-development. Onlypromote each other and use their respective advantages, can constantly improve the politicalcommunication system and process, and put them into full play in the process ofcontemporary China’s political development.
