With the continuous improvement of mobile Internet technology and the widespread of smart phone devices, the mobile service has become a new ecology of various professions. For Libraries, It is very necessary and urgent to carry out the library mobile information service. We Chat is the most popular instant messaging software which has huge user colony now. The libraries provide mobile information services by using the enrich functions of We Chat’s public platform and the Open API port. The We Chat library service started in the late 2012 which has been three years from now on. Based on the current situation investigation of the library public platforms which have opened We Chat services, this paper statistics and analysis of the status of the development of We Chat services in libraries, acquaints the actual application situation of library’s We Chat services, summarizes the characteristics of We Chat application in library, discovers the present problems of We Chat services in libraries. The study suggests some solutions to such problems in order to optimize the information service quality of the library’s We Chat platform which satisfis people ’ s requirement of personal information services. Using better services make users getting a better experience.
