Literatre Study To Pan Shuguang's Achievement

Pan shuguang is one of the important philology experts in contemporary China. On the basis of traditional Chinese philology that he inherited, he used broad academic view and scientific means to explore in philology field, then he obtained novel and systematical viewpoints which have important significance to the development of chinese philology. Pan shuguang dedicated his whole life to the research of philology. His practice andresearch included the methodology of literature search,the methodology of index and the lexicography. With strict scientific attitude and extensive academic view, he made important achievements in philology. Pan shuguang not only valued the inheritance of classical philology, but also focused on combining philology which is a long standing and well established culture cause with the new era. He used new technology and theory method to make documents arranging more convenient and regular, also, he increased the rasearch and devlepment of philology with times.Based on the synthesis of Pan shuguang's research practice and theoretical exploration in all subordinates of philology, and combined with development of this discipline and social culture background, this thesis made a research on Pan shuguang's achievement in philology. Panshuguang's achievement is systematic, creative and practical. It formed a set of theory which had guiding significance on theory and practice of philology in his long-term exploration. After the research, Pan shuguang's achievement can be divided into the following points: first, he putted forward the conception of generalized philology, and for breaking down barriers between disciplines, he pointed out the direction for constructing a complete meaning in philology. Second, in index of ancient books, Pan shuguang wrote the first treatise in this field and founded a complete subject system of ancient books index, which started a new situation of the study of ancient books index in China. Third, in the fields of the methodology of literature search, he was the first man who introduced the informatics theory into literature retrieval field. He committed to combine the bibliography of philology document with the contemporary information science, and advocated the new technology in the application of literature retrieval. In theory and technology, he made reclamation and innovation in the methodology of literature search. Forth, in the lexicography, he made unremitting exploration on compiling and utilization theory of dictionaries, and he obtained a series of important achievements.Overviewing the whole text, it mainly discusses Pan shuguang's contribution on the theoretical and practical theory of philology, his achievements advanced the development of philology in our country.
