Nowadays, everything is in the information-based direction development. As the leading organization in country, hospital has the responsibility of healing the wounded and rescuing the dying. Hospital use the technology to manage whole organization is very necessary and urgent. Especially inpatient department is the most important one of parts, to handle rigorous research and analysis is also heavy task. The computer technology as a media, we can manage the hospital matters better, improve the work efficiency, and reduce the errors. More and more hospitals use new technology, which improve their quality of service, benefit their future development. Besides, data of inpatient department is so complex, if we only operate by manual work, it is too waste and difficult. so using computers to manage the hospital business is a must.This paper explained the hospital management system of the significance of the project, expounds the background of them and the situation of the application. The paper also analyzes the present some problems of the system and has some of the original scene. In analyzing the functions of system, this paper analyzes the data flow and the dictionary to determine some of the USES of the system, after is given about the function of the system architecture and module structure, including into the hospital management, beds, orders management, case management, pharmacy management,information management and system management function of the seven modules. Based on the analysis of system data, this paper analyses the system need data, after e-r diagram is given, and the database table structure was carried out to establish. Finally the paper summarizes the had done about the system analysis and research, and prospects the later work.
