In the traditional equipment management of laboratory, a lot of work is done by people. The level of informationization is low for the lack of management software and equipment data are complicated. It’s very hard to locate the equipment quickly while you are inquiring and counting it. Finding some data or equipment is like fishing for a needle in the ocean. With the development of lab construction, there are more laboratory data and those complicated data will undoubtedly Increase the intensity of lab management and the burden of lab. Therefore traditional lab cannot keep up with the pace of the informationization of universities and it will be eliminated someday. The lab could be well managed and decrease the intensity of the lab management only by information construction. Then the lab management will be more easy and interesting and the staff members could devote more energy to the lab construction. Although many kinds of lab management systems have been developed abroad, they may not suitable for Yichun University without analyzing. Therefore it is very necessary to develop lab management software for Yichun University.During the designing process of the system, we intend to combine the practical situation of the school of mathematics and computer in Yichun University with the mainstream management system software on the market. The thesis begins with the researching significance, contents and project background. Then analyze the original business of lab equipment management in the part of business analysis. All the original business are reconstructed and some business are newly increased to make the lab work easy according to the practical situation in the college. Based on the second part, the third part cleans the acts of all people in the lab management. It also describes all of the equipments in the Life-cycle process of lab which includes material request, material accounting, put out storage, allot, repair, transfer,dumping and statistics of the equipment. The fourth part makes an appropriate thumbnail and the data form according to business described above.
