The rigorous exhaust emission legislation and increasingly development of diesel engine electronic control technology make high-pressure common-rail(CR) fuel injection system come into the word. It initiates the new era of diesel engine fuel injection technology. As a high flexible fuel injection system, the high-pressure CR injection system has become a trend of the diesel engines technology for its remarkable advantages[45]. Research on the high-pressure CR injection technology is an important issue in advancement and self-exploitation ability of our motor industry[1].Based on related literature, this paper introduces the features and advantages of the high-pressure CR fuel injection system, the domestic and foreign researches, and the components of the system and how they work in detail. In this paper, the models of the common rail fuel system are created with HYDSIM. Then, the models are validated by test results[41]. The main work is as follows: Rail pressure effects on fuel injection pressure, injection rate, injection volume and so on are analyzed in this paper. The electro-hydraulic injector is one of the most complex and most critical components of high-pressure CR system. The latter must rely on it to realize its excellent functions. With simulating calculation, the affects of key construction parameters and control parameters on its response characteristics and injection performance are investigated and then the determination of key parameters is also discussed aiming at the improvement of its characteristics. The influence of pulse duration of injection on injection characteristics is analyzed and the possibility of realize split injection is also discussed in this paper.[17]...
