This paper mainly studies the risk of the stability of Changyu Guan-xi Quarry Caverns In Wenling City of Zhejiang Province, The risk of this particular caverns’ stability will be analyzed by semi-empirical and semi-theoretical fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and analytic hierarchy process(AHP).Some rules can be arranged and summarized to judge the stability of underground caverns and the cause of damage accounting to the field investigation in Changyu Guan-xi Quarry Caverns In Wenling City of Zhejiang Province and the prevenient surveys about the stability risk of underground work. We selected the limit strain law as main criterion and defined "DI" as the index to judge the stability of subjects. A single factor membership degree model whose three factors including Overburden thickness, the column spacing and the height influenced by the stability of the caverns can been bulit by using a finite element analysis software named ANSYS(14.0). The probability vector affected by many factors will been obtained to estimate stability of the caverns after operating the model on ANSYS whose mode of operation is fuzzy mathematics method and in view of maximum membership principle.The stability risk should be evaluated in this three aspects:the probability of damage(previously known), the consequences due to lost stability(including economic losses and casualties) and the degree of importance(including monitoring level, the significance of construction). On the basis of the steady-state probability vector and hierarchical analysis method, the measure for the vector to comprehensive evaluate the risk can be gained. The grade of stability risk can be judged under the principle of normalization and maximum membership degree.The method in this paper used to analyze the stability of Guan-xi caverns is appropriate. The results of this method operation agrees with the experiment.Through the research of this paper we have got the method to evaluate the stability risk of Guan-xi caves and the basis to select proper treatment measure which is also suitable for other similar underground engineering.
