Over the years, with the development of social economy and the improvement of people’s living standard, the power supply in Dongguan has been growing rapidly and the power grid has been expanding. In the rapid growth of the power supply situation, the pace of the relevant power construction has not been unified, which led to the emergence of a larger power load gap. Especially in recent years, with the economic transformation and upgrading of industry of Dongguan, city planning rectification made grid structure become more complex, which leading to the heavy or overload problem of power equipment.To solve the power load gap and power equipment overload problem of regional power grid, power supply enterprises usually adopt staggering power consumption. Consciously staggering in the executive does not reach the designated position of the case, due to the time of mandatory staggering of user is too long or difficult to perform, Dongguan Power Grid generally take mandatory staggering of distribution line, which ensuring the safe operation of power grid equipment, but also interrupting the user’s normal use of electricity.In order to reduce the social impact caused by the mandatory staggering of distribution line, This paper takes mandatory staggering power consumption in distribution network of Dongguan as the research object, first to peak electricity theory are introduced. From the point of view of the reasons summed up in Guangdong power grid existing two kinds of peak load shifting, elaborate constituted by power management of a power supply enterprise peak, and of the involved in the load forecasting, staggering index assignment, scheduling, strong fault specific practices stated. At the same time, the peak electrical evaluation method.
