With the rapid development of the national economy and the improvement of people’s living standards, high-rise buildings come into being, all sorts of city high-rise buildings spring up. High-rise buildings accord with the people’s requirements in living environment, the access to information, entertainment and education, therefore, the world developing rapidly in the 21 st century. High-rise residential buildings favored by more and more people of all ages, it also become the main way of living, which provide tenants with a safe, comfort and energy-efficient living environment. A good high-rise residential building, provides a great living environment at the same time, it must be guaranteed safe and reliable of households electricity. So how to determine the electrical design of high-rise residential building program and to ensure system security, stability, and economic operation, it is particularly significant.Based on high-rise student apartments, and combined of high-rise residential building electrical design, this thesis discusses the content of high-rise residential lighting, power distribution, grounding, and the design of the fire alarm system, including selection and arrangement of lamps, Power supply scheme, the option of system wires, arrangement of switches and sockets, the design of grounding, lightning protection measures and the design of fire alarm system.First of all, in the design of low-voltage power distribution system, with load calculation and reasonable load forecasting, the project chooses reliable performance and economical electrical equipment, such as distribution cabinets, switching equipment and so on. Secondly, in the design of lighting system, this thesis follows the principle of energy-saving, and chooses fluorescent lamp as light source. The project determines the optimum number of light sources by illuminating calculations, and creates a good environment to study for students. Thirdly, in the design of lightning protection and grounding, according to the national standard, this thesis classifies as class II lightning by calculating in accordance with requires. Finally, the project designs fire alarm and fire fighting blocking system and a set of alarm and linkage of the system, aim at student residential staff-intensive, difficult smoke, a large number of fire features. When fire occurs, the system can be alarmed, and turn on the spray pump automatically, then start the exhaust fan and make a series of measures ensure minimal harm.
