The Vernacular Architecture Exporation Of The Jinxing House Of Yongan In Fujian Province

The research on the construction and renewal of Jinxing House in Huainan, Yongan, Fujian which is focused on the wooden structure joints was discussed by means of mapping, interviewing, surveying and modeling. The tactics of renovation are proposed as follows:Firstly, the structure of Jinxing House goes to the column-and-tie construction, meanwhile it has the features of the log cabin construction which is held up upon the floor.Secondly, Jinxing House is parted separately, for assembling combination. Each part can be assembled itself and the carpenters can handle all the process of planning and building.Thirdly, the wooden structure system is complete and mature. The feature of joint as well as the adornment effect and structural effect varies from place to place.Forth, the joints of the wooden structure are simple and reasonable. Jinxing House is a huge building connected by a wide range of tenons and mortises, each of which has a simple rule and fixed position.Based on these conclusions, two sets of function transformation plans are proposed. The protection and renewal obey the tradition methods to make the Jinxing House To adapt to the new times like new.
