Steel bridge deck surfacing is one of the world community of common concern to problems, is also one of the key technology of bridge engineering. The vast majority of long-span Bridges are now using the orthotropic steel bridge deck, it’s further speed up the research process of the steel bridge deck pavement. However, so far, there is no completely suitable for steel bridge deck pavement materials and structure design. Combined with the use conditions of the fourth Nanking Yangtze River Bridge, this paper carried out the steel bridge deck pavement materials, pavement structure and performance of the research, put forward suitable for Nanking four bridge the structure characteristic of the pavement structure of suspension Bridges.Study found that the lower cast asphalt mixture is a kind of suspended dense type structure, the structural stability is affected by temperature is bigger, in under the condition of normal temperature, low temperature, casting modulus of asphalt mixture is bigger, but under the condition of high temperature casting type rapid attenuation modulus of asphalt mixture. In order to improve the pouring type high temperature performance of asphalt layer, can be in the casting type asphalt layer surface pressure into the basalt of 15~20 mm., because of the large bridge panel flexibility of suspension Bridges and the driving load, wind load and temperature changes under the common effect, earthquake and other natural factors, especially the flexible suspension bridge structure under the influence of large deformation, the higher requirements of steel bridge deck pavement. With elastomeric modified asphalt paving in the casting type asphalt concrete of the upper material, can effectively improve the surface and the combination of the steel bridge deck, high temperature performance of ascension. Through experiments show that in the elastomeric modified asphalt concrete mixed with natural sand, can guarantee high elastic, on the basis of modified asphalt concrete construction workability, increase of elastomeric modified asphalt concrete road performance. Shop is the total thickness under the condition of unchanged, appropriate to reduce the casting structure layer thickness, layer thickness increase elastomeric modified asphalt concrete structure, can improve the pavement performance of high temperature.Highway to field data through shop test and laboratory experimental results systematically analyzed the compound casting type steel deck plate paving asphalt concrete for large suspension type of performance impact. For the future similar across a river bridge surface pavement provides valuable data.
