| The present paper studies the issue of rural-urban integration being an important strategic measure to break dual social structure, narrow urban-rural gaps and build a well-off society. Under the background of urban and rural integration during the new period, the old space structure of separating urban areas from rural areas cannot meet the needs of the reality. Therefore, we need to look for new ideas so as to deal with the new contradictions and problems emerging from it.The city-country integration of Yan’an has been speeded up since it is decided to be the representative demonstration zones of rural-urban integration in Shaanxi Province by Shaanxi provincial party committee and provincial government in 2010. This experimental zone has been agreed by the State Development and Reform Commission, and the approval of the State Council is expected. In the context of the ruran-urban integration in Yan’an, this paper investigates the planning strategies of space structure in Yan’an central city under the context of the rural-urban integration.Based on the related research about urban space structure and requirements of rural-urban integration, this paper attempts to build a framework of urban space structure. After a thorough discussion of the develoment conditons, representation processes of space structure, affecting factors and evolving methods of Yan’an central city, this paper analyses essential elements of space structure and spatial association. Integrating scientific evaluations of rural-urban integration develomental level, this paper explores the characteristics of space structure of Yan’an central city and its existing problems. Directed by the developmental appeal of rural-urban integration and the planning target of space structure, it introduces a space structure pattern: priority should be given to urban areas and ecological layout, functional zoning should be strengthened, as well as a planning strategy: protecting space safety through ecological subdivision,promoting rural-urban interaction through industrial development, directing rural-urban space integration through public area and strengthening rural-urban correlation through transport network. |
