Understanding and using of the ocean is not enough because of the marine environment has a high pressure and low visibility,the emergence of Autonomous Underwater Vehicle is an important step in ocean exploration.AUV can independently complete a variety of tasks, especially,the detection of underwater sound source tracking is a important branch of it. At present, the tracking of underwater sound source is accomplished mostly by sonar image of moving target,and receiving the movement trend and speed of moving target based on the sonar image.But this approach has some questions that the resolution and signal to noise ratio of sonar image is not high,the weak signal is not easy to catch,short detection range,the computational cost is larger and its instantaneity can become better.The main research of this article is realizing the estimation of moving target basing on the array signal processing technology.This system include two modules:direction-of-arrival estimation module and tracking module.Direction-of-arrival estimation module gets the source azimuth information, namely, azimuth and pitching angle,which is use of the noise of moving target or sonar signal that is received by sensor array. After achieving estimation of angles, tracking module estimates movement trend and speed of moving target is based on velocity and speed of transmission of ultrasound in the water,and then realizing the arrangement of the steps of AUV.In this paper, the method is simple, quickly and efficiently with small computational complexity,which can reasonably estimate the movement of trend,the speed of moving target and so on characteristics, this work has important significance on the development of AUV.
