The concept of "User-Centered Design" has become a basic principle of modern design. Based on this, the study of user habit behavior become the compulsory subject of designers before product design. However, user habit depend on people’s experience repeated, it is difficult to change when it becomes a kind of subconscious reaction. But design means break the bondage of habits. Both seem to conflict.After user habit formation, the status question is designer often limited by the user, namely where users feel bad experience, designers to do the targeted to solve. Therefore, ordinary designers feel very difficult to make natural design for customers.This article from the perspective of the user habit, summarise the user habit of origin theory through research and analysis, analyzes the relations between user habits and design through two aspects, the user’s habits hinder innovation design and design needs to break through the user habit, have a macro level understanding of user habit and the relationship between user habits and design is a dialectical unity, promote between each other. Based on the analysis summary, and then analyzes and discusses the design impact of user habit which formed by different factors(geography, culture, environment, life style), make the scope of user habit study more specific. And then regard household environment as design cutting point, analysis the reason for introducing the user habit to household product design and the impact of the user habit to household product design from two angles, one is the household product design present situation, classification and characteristics, another is the category of user habit in household products design. Creatively proposing the classification of the user habit in the home environment, the natural habits, behavior habits and psychological habits, which according to the habits produced between the people and products in the home environment. Then discusses the possibility of combine three levels of the brain which put forward by Norman with natural habits, behavior habits and psychological habits, propose the design research method which improve the product experience through user habits based on three levels of the brain. Finally, this paper proposed the household product design strategy, which combine user habits with the modelling, the function and the emotional dimensions.This article hope to provide method which consider the user habits factors for designers in research period of product design, enables designers to find nature requirements of users, designed products make users feel natural. On the other hand, product design also can guide users to cultivate the correct behavior habits. Finally, this article also verified the theory of research results through a practical case in this paper. This paper’s research has theoretical and practical significance for designers whom need to fully consider the behavior of the user habits in product design research period.
