As the "heart" of hydraulic system,the pump’s performance will directly affect the normal operation of the hydraulic system. Since the structure and the way of assignment other reasons, traditional pump is difficult to achieve the high-pressure flow and multiple-output, in some super-power hydraulic equipment often requires multiple pumps and hydraulic accessories to achieve the output of high-pressure flow. Based on this case,we design a new type of radial piston pump on the principle of open-circuit piston,the pump through its own structural features to achieve high-pressure, large flow and multiple outputs.Based on introducing the new pump’s structure, describes the working principle,characteristics and assignment mode.Moreover we cited some common number of plungers.Using software Solid Works drawn pump parts and assembly drawings and models inside the pump flow channel, through computational fluid dynamics software simulation pressurized oil flow channel flow field, By simulation results analysis and optimization of pump flow.This paper also analyzes flow pulsation of the pump in different ways of working and gets the minimal pulsation way.It also analyzes the characteristics of the pump internal leakage.By analysis of results to design the internal structure and part size.And analyzes the characteristics of energy-saving in certain conditions.This paper also analyzes the forces of assignment axis at work in different ways,analyzing the factors that influence the assignment axis with the balance of power and getting the way of force balance.And the use of finite element analysis software to check strength of assignment axis and by simulation results to optimize the assignment axis further.Building an experimental test platform of new radial piston pump, and made some principle experiments and basic performance test through the experimental prototype.The results verify that the new radial piston pump works correctness and provide an experimental basis for the new radial piston pump design improvements in the future.
