Study On The Daywork And Certificate Application In Construction Engineering

Day-work is a way of valuation according to the unit price agreed in the contract when the contractor finished extra items or jobs proposed by the employer which fall outside the contract in work progress. Agreement of construction contract basically keeps consistent with the rules of day-work in code of valuation with bill quantity. As a special way of valuation, day-work is a supplement to the valuation with bill quantity.At present, most internal researches of day-work still stay on the basic level such as the concept、adaption range etc., the research on the practical application of day-work is favored of regulating the operation and implementation, and also can promote optimizing the way of construction valuation.The research of this thesis is based on《Code of valuation with bill quantity of construction work》 (2013 Edition) and 《Construction work contract(model text)》 (2013 Edition), analyzed the application problems of day-work combing to the current engineering management system. Based on analyzing the basic problems and specifications of day-work, firstly the thesis specified the adaptability and limit conditions of day-work, secondly the thesis proposed advices of optimizing and improving the implement process of day-work, and analyzed the day-work command, day-work certificate and the management of settlement and payment. To the specified operational problems of day-work, the thesis analyzed the day-work items listed in the bidding bill of quantity and priced bill of quantity from the aspects of both the employer and bidder.In addition, the thesis proposed the processing method of the day-work items unlisted in the bill of quantity, which finally formed the general and complete approach of day-work.
