Highway Landscape Design Based On Traffic Safety And Environmental Protection

Highway landscape as a kind of linear landscape, it goes through the different physical space such as landform、valleys、rivers and so on, in the process of route through, it would affect the ecological environment along the highway. Also the change of driving environment, would affect drivers’ psychology and physiology, then affects the highway’s traffic safety and comfort. A high quality of highway landscape must have a beautiful and comfortable environment to ensure safety, and take the expressway landscape integration with the surrounding environment for the purpose of ecological environmental protection.Highway landscape design is a product of multi-interdisciplinary subject which involves building engineering, art aesthetics, environment and so on. However, due to the highway construction starts late, the landscape design theory research lags behind, there are many problems in the highway landscape planning and design. Under the above background, this paper is combining with highway landscape design research status at home and abroad, aiming at some problems that existed in our country highway landscape design. Base on the highway landscape theory, such as ecology, aesthetics, environmental psychology, traffic engineering, visual and color subject, with traffic safety and environmental protection as breakthrough point, research the effect on traffic safety and environmental protection by highway landscape elements, it is concluded the highway landscape design method which under the guidance of the traffic safety and environment protection. Finally, putting design method into the practice of highway landscape planning and design.The study of this paper promotes the perfection of the theory of highway landscape design, the fusion of traffic safety and environmental protection concept of highway landscape design method is not only beneficial to build a safe and comfortable traffic environment, but also to protect the environment preferably.
