Study On The Key Technology Of Stone Matrix Asphalt (SMA) Construction And Equipment

SMA mixture is composed of asphalt binder, fiber stabilizer, mineral filler, fine aggregate and almost single size of coarse aggregate, forming the skeleton dense structure with asphalt fill in the gap between the coarse aggregate.SMA is a comprehensive performance of the mixed materials with excellent high temperature, low temperature performance, durability and anti sliding performance. Although SMA can improve the performance for asphalt of the road, reducing maintenance cost, prolong the service life, but it is a kern skeleton gap graded mixture, has a high demand for construction equipment and technology, sensitivity to the influence construction, and technology is complex and difficult.in order to realize the excellent performance of SMA, it is necessary to study the characteristics of materials, requirements and construction.This dissertation relied on G6 highway Zhuozishan and Xinghe service area expansion project, method of combination theoretical research and engineering application study SMA mixture construction key technology.In view of the above and load characteristics, this paper analyzes the material requirements and composition characteristics, the key technology of construction control, the comprehensive control technology of the smoothness and compaction degree, design of granular fiber stabilizer. Through the combination of material and mechanics, puts forward for the characteristics of SMA construction technology. through the setting of cold material flow calibration, mixing equipment sieve, adding fiber, mixing mode, spreading paving velocity, vibration ramming frequency, rolling speed and frequency, smoothness and compaction degree control study and application, obtained the dense structure of coarse aggregate and asphalt filling the gap of coarse aggregate in the real engineering. the test results show that the technical indexes of SMA mixture are up to the standard, and the construction of the road has good high temperature, low temperature, water damage and anti slide performance.
