With the reform and development of China’s education system, middle school new projects and expansion projects increasing, and often some projects shortage of land, so the middle school on the existing basis of the renovation and expansion to become one of the trends of modern high school campus development. In this paper, the actual project-Xi’an Chang’an in the campus expansion plan designed for the study. Changan a project site in the original space and the new levy loess tableland terrain sites. Renovation and expansion project for secondary properties. Wherein based on the Land Use from site analysis, loess tableland terrain remediation, site space utilization, site planning design to explore planning and design; based campus activities from the architectural design, construction group research, analytical aspects of program priorities explore architectural design; Based on Campus cultural studies from the campus culture, the impact of culture on campus exterior space, the design of the external space to explore the outer space design. Final results high school renovation and expansion planning, architecture, exterior space design elements.To solve the problem(chapter 7), through the relevant theoretical study early, middle school renovation and expansion Case Studies and Design Practice Changan in renovation and expansion projects, for pre-planning steps middle school renovation and expansion design process applied and the planning, construction, external space design methods to conduct a comprehensive analysis shows that provide a reference for future similar projects related to work.
