Study On The Design Of City Gate Area In The Belt Parks Of Jingzhou City Wall

Modern city developing rapidly, the attention of the historical and cultural heritage in the city also has become increasingly prominent. At the same time, the insufficient study of indepth local city characteristics and urban "Convergence" problems also exist together, such as the landscape activation and use of gate area in the traditional city space. The city which lost the city gates rebuilds, while the city which preserved has advantage on cultural landscape resource. But the use of landscape still lack of regional particularity.Taking city gate area in belt parks of Jingzhou city gatewall as the main example, this thesis is based on the use and activation as the main perspective of landscape design.The first part, by the city gate area related to the design theory and case study as the foundation, And then combed the related theory of landscape design, selecting and researching the case of Yongnian Handan Guangfu ancient city, Xi’an, Nanjing, and the Tongyuan Gate in Chongqing, Fengsheng Gate in Huzhou. Analysising experience, so provides reference for the landscape design of gate area in Jingzhou.The second part, taking the gate area of belt parks in Jingzhou as the research target, first figue out the natural geography, the main elements of historical evolution, the related cultural resources system, and cultural landscape resources and the current situation of landscape resources evaluation with several aspects in-depth study. Then, the spatial location, shape, culture and characteristics of all the gate areas in Jingzhou, as well as functional properties are summarized and concluded. And it derivatives to the interpretation of the nature and the meaning of the city gate, concluded the characteristics of Jingzhou city gate areas. Through the research analysis on the gate areas in belt parks of Jingzhou city wall, sums up the advantages and disadvantages.The third part, with the basic research on early analysis and comprehensive research conclusion, the author puts forward the design principles of the gate area in Jingzhou city wall belt parks, and sum up the specific optimization strategy. Finally, according to the research of design, the author discusses the Jingzhou city gate area landscape design guidelines and recommendations, and provide a more comprehensive design research process.
