Study On The Design Of The Urban Belt Parks Depending On The Ancient City Wall

With the city human settlement worsening and the city characteristic losing, thepeople pay more attention to all kinds of city Park, especially the urban belt park, as wellas the city history culture. The city belt-parks depending on the ancient city wall haveboth the characteristic of the city belt park and the deepness city history context. So, nowit is a bit urgent necessary to undertake those researches of construction of the citybelt-parks depending on the ancient city wall, whether we consider their role in theory orthe practice significance.Firstly, the thesis defines the range of the city belt-park depending on the ancient citywall according to the terrain and condition; then it carries preliminary classification on thepark according to layout, positional relationship between the ancient city wall and thepark, and materials used to construct the ancient city wall and elaborates the function ofthe city belt-park depending on the ancient city wall according to the culture, recreation,esthetic, city image, ecology and so on; Finally it summarizes the common characteristic,such as the belt-shaped of the park, strongly openness, wide connection and so on, and theunique characteristic, which includes unique location, particularity of space and thevestige culture as topic of park and so on. Secondly, the thesis summarizes threecharacteristics of the park depending on the ancient city wall, which include spatiallinearity, spatial multiplex, and the active and sequential boundary, and discusses thespace organized along major axis and minor axis direction, furthermore discusses theboundary design at many different aspects. Then basic on the characteristic of the park,the influence factors to plants, waters, buildings, terrains, and circulation in the park, aswell as main outlines and methods of their design were discussed separately. Finally, theelements of history and culture in the city belt park depending on the city wall wereanalyzed, the principle, means of exploration and expression of culture were discussedand more about them were suggested.
