A Study On The Design Concept Of Herzog Thomas

In view of the construction phenomenon of the interior and exterior design field focused on the pursuit of "mannerism" and ignoring the "human and the natural elements" since the ninety’s, this thesis studies the design perspective of the German architect, scientist Thomas Herzog to probe into the influencing factors of the formation of Herzog’s design concept; To explore the three stages of the formation of the design concept of Herzog, that is, the embryonic stage, the initial stage and the stage of maturity. Exploring the theoretical knowledge of this research can guide the interior design and technology of Chinese Architecture.Through the research to the concept of Thomas Herzog design background, it is concluded that Thomas Herzog home education, school education, university education and social work honor is the enlightenment foundation of Thomas Herzog design concept. The national economy, technology, history, culture and the historical and cultural conditions of the urban areas in the life and work, is the material guarantee for the design concept of Thomas Herzog. The work idea of "cooperation" in teaching and practice is an important operation mode and implement means of Thomas Herzog design concept.Through the initially formed design concept of Thomas Herzog, it reaches a conclusion that the German Bauhaus teaching method, design concept and Mies, Gropius design idea is direct source of thought of the initial formation of the design concept of Thomas Herzog. Neighboring countries:Britain, France and the United States focus on design supported by industrial technology, and invention and creation has become the main power to liberate the productive forces, is main sources of experience for reference of the initial formation of the design concept of Thomas Herzog. The material and ideological form of Chinese traditional natural view is one of the important factors in the preliminary formation of Thomas Herzog’s design concept.Through the research on the mature stage of Thomas Herzog’s design concept, it is concluded that "cooperative" design and teaching and the use of natural elements (natural light, natural ventilation, natural space elements), is an important symbol of the mature stage of Thomas Herzog’s design concept.
