Study On The Simplified Representation Of Herzog & De Meuron's Architectural Creation

After the 1950 s,knowledge,economy,and culture in the world have been greatly impacted,and they have demonstrated a variety of global characteristics.The architectural world has also seen numerous architectural concepts and presented a variety of trends.Changes in architecture have directly led to changes in people's living environment.People are eager to pursue order,quietness,and simple architectural space and environment in a complex environment.Some architects continue to work hard to achieve this architectural space and environment.Herzog & de Meuron are among them.Herzog & de Meuron believe that architecture is a long-term existence,and they are committed to restoring the architecture to its origin.This direct dialogue to explore the nature and construction of buildings and roots,so that their work shows the shape simple,concise structure,space simplicity simple features,and full of practical value.For Herzog & de Meuron,the task of architectural design is to abandon all formal exaggerations,superficial symbolic metaphors,and personal styles,and to present the essence of the building using simple space,structure and construction.This behavior expresses their simplistic architectural design concept of " Architecture is architecture itself."This article is divided into five parts.The first chapter is the introduction: Explain the necessity of research,the research purpose,significance and research methods,and the research status at home and abroad.The second,third,and fourth chapters are the main parts of the thesis: Chapter Two analyzes the influencing factors of Herzog & de Meuron's simplified architectural design concepts from various aspects such as art and psychology.The third chapter gives a comprehensive analysis of Herzog & de Meuron's simplistic architectural design techniques,starting with the discussion of form,skin,and space.The fourth chapter is a summary of the construction characteristics of Herzog & de Meuron's works.It mainly discusses the representation of the simplified representation in the traditional regional culture,exquisite construction skills and natural elements.In the fifth chapter,through the example analysis of the works designed by Walker Art Center,Herzog and de Meuron's simplified appearance features are further strengthened,which enables us to more clearly understand their architectural design concepts.In this article,by studying the design work and the practice of Herzog & de Meuron,we can find out the characteristics of the simplified representations in Herzog & de Meuron's works.I hope to find out from this that the architecture can essentially be used for reference.Some things provide some references and lessons for the simple and practical architectural design promoted in China.
