Research On The Characteristic Of "Su Style" Public Buildings Based On Semiotics

This paper treats "Su style" public buildings as the object of study, base on the theory of western architectural -- semiotic perspective about the "Su style" public buildings induction and the analysis, base on the basic study of the era background, ideology and theory of architecture thought, excavate the historical origin and forming mechanism of "Su style" buildings’ architectural symbols.Based on the semiotics research methods, it classifies and specific analysis the feature of "Su style" public buildings feature, excavating the deep meanings and realistic meanings.Through access to relevant books, literature, combined with field research, applies the study of semiotics method to the study of its features. It summarize and summe up the feature of "Su style" public buildings according to the syntactics, semantics and pragmatics:in syntactics theory,it discusse its deep structure and surface structure,then analysis the rules of the organization of the form elements (point, line, surface and body) and analyze the characteristic of beauty of architectural form and transformation rules by its special background; Semantics divide the feature of "Su style" public buildings into image symbols, instructions symbols and symbolize symbols, and summe up the relationship between the meaning of these symbols and the expression it refers to, summarize the symbolic classification of "Su style" public buildings and analysis of the symbolic significance;Pragmatics’aspect based on the formation of the creation mechanism of "Su style" public buildings in special context environment features, which produce different levels of meaning expression, when the field information is passed to the recipients of different cultural backgrounds and social backgrounds, according to their specific functions and their psychological needs for information feedback,so as to form a complete building information transfer feedback process, gradually guide the development of "Su style" public buildings. This paper use scientific research methods to discuss the special building type in the history of China’s modern architecture development process, and the feature extraction and classification, forms systematic and clear research context, also offers the theory foreshadowing of the development and protection of "Su style" public buildings.
