With the reform of electricity market, the power generation group is facing financial self-sufficiency, which leads to the enterprise in pursuit of maximizing the benefits as the goal. And operation economy of the generating set, it is the fundamental problem to affect economic benefits of the enterprise. As an inevitable but also can be improved indicator, the power consumption has received extensive attention in numerous indicators of the wind turbines equipments. With the energy crisis and environment deteriorating, the development of wind power receives enough attention. However, it is not in-depth study to the problem of power consumption for the wind turbine at home and abroad. This article mainly studies the wind turbine as the research object, and analyzes the power consumption of each system in detail.At first, this paper analyzes the working principle and operation rules of each system in the wind turbine, which illustrates the reason of the power consumption of the equipment. And then, this paper introduces the acquisition modes of the power consumption and parameters of the wind turbines:first, design the on-site detection device for the unit power consumption based on ARM kernel control platform, including design principle, the production process, and the final data acquisition. Second, the structure and function of SCADA system is introduced, with the concrete expression of data classification in SCADA system, and then, analyze the relevant parameter of the wind turbines needed in this topic, and the parameters of power consumption are obtained. Finally, taking advantage of the Lab VIEW software for data processing, it is concluded that the power consumption accounted of the equipment, through the analysis of parameters in different operation modes of equipments, such as the motor, gear box. By improving the control strategy to reduce the power consumption of each equipment, it is to prove the feasibility of the improved equipment control strategy.In this paper, fully understand the relationship between the running status of the wind turbines equipments and the power consumption, through the research and analysis of the power consumption in wind turbines. And through optimizing control strategy, achieve the goal of cutting expenditure, and to reduce the power consumption.
