Substation is the hub of power network system. Its power equipments are running in high voltage and large current environment, so overheating is a common phenomenon for the contact point and the bus of the switchgears. An effective way to prevent such problems is detecting the temperature of them timely. Howerer, there are many limitations when detect the temperature by using the traditional and artificial methods. If we detect the temperature by using mechanical equipments, it is a difficult problem to send the temperature data to the upper equipments. Therefore, a convenient and reliable method need to be researched for real-time detecting the temperature of significant equipments.This Thesis researchs a kind of wireless temperature monitor system used in substation based on wireless temperature detection technology, and the system realize three functions:temperature collection, wireless transmission and remote monitoring. In temperature collection respect, the wireless temperature sensors, which is consist of the DS18B20 chip and the CC2530 chip, is used fixing in the equipment to be detected and collecting the temperature data. The wireless temperature receiving and display device, consisting of the AT91SAM7X246(based on the ARM7 kernel) chip and the LM1095R chip, receive the data from the sensors and then process and display them; In respect of wireless transmission, this paper makes a wireless transmission mechanism based on ZigBee protocol. After collect all of the data from receiving and display device, the system will upload these data to the upper management system and then, the upper management system will make a uniform processing and some future work; In respect of remote monitoring, this paper compiles a monitoring software to monitor the temperature. In addition, considering the complex electromagnetic environment in substation, this paper also analyzes the electromagnetic compatibility between the temperature testing equipments and the power equipments.Finally, high voltage test of the system have been applied, and the results prove that the wireless temperature monitor system can really realize automatic measurement on the temperature data of the main high voltage primary equipment in substation. It also can send warning signal and reduce the times of artificial patrol. Compared to similar products on the market, the temperature measuring device of this system in ZigBee wireless mode can reduce power consumption effectively, much easily be installed and cost lower for maintenance.
