With the development of automotive technology and Chinese society, and fuel economy, strong power, lower emissions turbocharged diesel engine more and more favored by the market. Therefore, the master turbocharger diesel engine fast matching and processing matching process problems of the methods and techniques can shorten the project development cycle, saving development costs. It has important significance to the design and development of diesel engine.In this paper, the turbocharger selection, turbocharger and diesel engine combination matching and turbocharger noise reduction are studied. The studies have important reference for design and development of diesel engines. The main contents and innovations are as follows:(1) According to the performance parameters of the engine, the air flow rate and pressure ratio are calculated, and the scheme of HP55F2 compressor is selected. The HP55F2 compressor can provide enough air for the engine, but also can ensure the efficient work in the area of surge and speeding. Through energy conservation and the use of turbine flow correction factor correction, matching calculation select HP55 A turbine drives the compressor.(2) GT-POWER is used to model the YCD4 F diesel engine in 1D, the simulation result is equal to theoretical calculation result, dedicates that the simulation model is accuracy enough. Diesel engine and turbocharger test on the test bench, there are only 1.2% errors between experiment to simulation.(3) A silencer was designed to reduce turbo noise, analytical method was employed to determine the structure and dimension of the silencer, and acoustic finite element method was used to predict the acoustic performance of silencer, at last, experiment was setup to confirm the performance of the silencer in vehicle, and the result of experiment and simulation are quite approximate. This part is the creative point, and the analytical method and conclusion will be important as guidance in the future.
