| Turbo technology is an effective way to strengthen the performance of diesel engine, it can effectively improve the power and the torque of diesel engine.Conventional turbocharged diesel engine has some problems in low speed operation, such as the lack of power, more fuel consumption. The research shows that variable geometry turbocharger can effectively solve the above problems. In this paper, we study matching of variable geometry turbocharger with diesel engine.In this paper, a simulation model of the turbocharged diesel engine is established by using GT-POWER simulation software. By comparing the simulation results with the test data of the engine, it is found that the simulation model can meet the precision requirement,it can provide the basic model for the following research.Using the GT-POWER simulation model, the paper studies the matching of the HP50 type waste gate turbocharger with the diesel engine,it find that the HP50 type waste gate turbocharger has a lower efficiency, matching is less, and need to re-match. This paper selects the JK45 and JK48 two types of the variable geometry turbocharger,by comparing the joint operation curve of the diesel engine with the JK45 and JK48 two types of the variable geometry turbocharger,it is found that the matching effect of the JK48 type variable geometry turbocharger with the diesel engine is better.In this paper, we study the influence of the variable nozzle ring opening degree on the performance of the engine. Using the GT-POWER simulation model, it changes the opening size of the variable nozzle ring between 0 and 1, it analyzes the variation of the air flow, the torque and the effective fuel consumption rate of the engine with the variable nozzle opening degree.Under different load conditions, the thesis researches the influence of the variable nozzle ring opening degree on the performance of the engine. Through the PID control, it can get the best opening degree of the variable nozzle ring.In this paper, through the method of the combining operation test of the turbocharger and diesel engine, it gets the data of the HP50 type waste gate turbocharger and the JK48 variable geometry turbocharger matching with the diesel engine. By comparing the difference of the boost pressure, air flow, torque, power, fuel consumption and fuel consumption rate of the two turbocharged diesel engines, it is found that the power and economy of the diesel engine with the JK48 variable geometry turbocharger is better than that of the diesel engine with the HP50 type waste gate turbocharger. Therefore, the matching effect of the JK48 variable geometry turbocharger with the diesel engine is better. |
