As the increasing demand for cars, raising the output of the factory becomes more important. Manufacturers hope to create the biggest benefit at the lowest cost, research the balance of production line is necessary to improve the production efficiency. Taking automobile welding line as the research object, the paper analyze the influence factors of welding line by the design of experiment method, and model the simulation model by the method of computer simulation and genetic algorithm, then puts forward the optimal scheme.Firstly, the paper introduces the relevant theoretical knowledge of welding line and summarizes the main steps of welding line planning. And then the existing method of production line balancing are analyzed to determine to use the genetic algorithm combining software analysis method.Secondly, the paper determines the influence factors of welding line by the method of experimental design, based on the practical research of welding line of the company determine the basic parameters in the system, then use the Plant Simulation software to model the simulation model. After the model is verified, analyze the balance of production line and bottleneck location, determine the buffer capacity by the genetic algorithm method, and determine the number of vehicle, finally put forward the optimal scheme.The paper determine the parameters that have greater impact on the welding line balance by the method of experimental design and Plant Simulation software combined with genetic algorithm method, provides the method for determining the planning parameters of welding line planning.
