With rapid urbanization, by the multifaceted impact of policy, economy, culture, environment, different behavior patterns of people is not same, and their living conditions, living space distribution and surrounding public facilities is obvious different. Relevant empirical studies show that residential and public facilities have been reflected in everywhere, and the problem it lead can not be ignored. In addition, government decision-making, public option, the forces of the market is of the greatest effect, in addition to education resources, especially the key middle school relocate in this new area highlight this issues.This paper selects Binhu District in Hefei as the research object, research on the differentiation of residential and the surrounding public services in the built-up area in Binhu District. After lots of questionnaires and field interviews, summarize spatial distribution of residential and public facilities of different types of people, focused on the differentiation of residential and the surrounding public facilities, analyze the interaction and relationship between the two and the causes, and by studying different types of people for housing, demand for public services summarizes the problem and then make recommendations. Among them, the crowd was divided based on a lot of research work, based on the standard that includes travel range and frequency of behavior patterns which is more applicable to such issues, so the criteria for classification is determined. In research methods, using the kernel density analysis, buffer analysis, network analysis so that the conclusion is more intuitive and clear.On the basis of empirical research, we know that urban planning, policy guidance play a structural role in the spatial differentiation phenomenon and intensified the selection of population differentiation phenomenon; different types of people affected by residential spatial distribution and distribution of public services, but also affect the spatial distribution of public facilities, and effect each other; the problem that reflected in public comprehensive evaluation of residential and service facilities calls for our attention.
