Urban Space Structure Analysis Of Binjiang District Hangzhou Based On Space Syntax

With the acceleration of urbanization and the tendency to the muti-center of cities,we start large-scale urban construction in new areas. However,putting the city planning into effect is a long-term process.And now,we are lacking of scientific and effective methods which could check up the implementation result for a long time. So we are not sure about whether its result will meet the former planning intention or not,whether it could achieve the purpose of planning or not,or,whether it could meet users’　demands or not and so on.Space syntax was put forward in the 1970’s by professor Bill Hillier and his team for the first time, the research object of space syntax is a spatial ontology, through the analysis of the self-organizing characteristics of space systems development, with the method of fabric to reveal the development rule of space itself has revealed the urban space after the exclusion of other group interference spontaneous show the function of the state, and through the computer software DepthmapX quantitatively describe the result of the analysis.Therefore,this paper tries to use the Space Syntax’s theory and method as tool,takes the new developed secondary center of Hangzhou-Binjiang District as a sample,through the map analysis the axis of the object space syntax analysis spatial integration of analysis results,to explores the potential regularity in urban spatial structure and functional layout which appeared spontaneously.From that,we could provide a rational way of criticism and objective basis for overall planning of city.
