In the research of building energy conservation in the past, usually by heat insulation traditional forms of wall structure, roof, ground of building envelope as the main content, for energy-saving technology of glass curtain wall of glass doors and windows, so more heat loss is relatively late, and lack mature technical support. At the same time, due to the characteristic and advantage of their physical, aesthetic, glass material in contemporary architecture is used more and more, which occupies in the outer envelope of an increasingly large proportion, but is not limited to the traditional doors and windows, such as large scale glass window, glass curtain wall, glass roof. In view of this, is application of glass in the construction energy conservation design increasingly important and urgent.The first chapter introduces the research background and significance, research status at home and abroad and the research content and method; energy saving characteristics of glass energy saving technology in indoor comfort index meaning and glass, energy-saving were summarized; chapter respectively from the two aspects of glass energy saving technology application in public building design and in the design of residential building to start, for studying foreign advanced research results and application examples, the present research and application situation of energy-saving glass technology in our country has carried on the thorough analysis; clear the existing at the present stage of China’s problems and solving method, and points out that in as much as possible to ensure the use of the area of glass in the construction and improve the price under the premise of how to achieve the construction, energy saving effect, and puts forward some strategies for the application and development of the future of China’s building energy-saving glass technology.
