Rail transport plays a vital role in China’s national economic development, in order to ensure the railway system always could be operated normally, it is necessary to set up signal chambers along the railways. There are numerous electrical equipments in the signal chamber, and they are configured intricately, so those railways with signal chamber are not only fault-prone areas, but also the key protection areas that need to be carried out in the safety production of the railway. In recent years, several times China’s railway speed increase improved stability requirements of related support equipment furthermore. For now, manual inspection is the chief method of China’s railway to measure equipments’temperature in signal chamber, that is, they are using handheld devices for temperature measurement. It would produce gross error inevitably due to the operating characteristics of artificial temperature, and at the same time, the timeliness can not be guaranteed based on such a temperature measurement method. Therefore, the design of a real-time temperature measurement system with real-time temperature measurement, remote monitoring, and abnormal temperature alarm function has very important significance.The system constructs a architecture of temperature sensor to the lower computer, and the lower computer to the host machine based on the hierarchical system design of host computer and lower computer. The system design involves a variety of modern communication and control technology, such as single-bus communication technology, serial communications technology, single-chip and system design technology to construct an integrated system with temperature acquisition module, information processing module, LCD module and human-computer interaction module. Temperature sensors could be installed inside the device to get more accurate data, they send data to processor of lower computer through cable, and the data transmission process using "single bus" communication protocol of DS18B20,then, the processor compare data simply, if the temperature is abnormal, the system alarms, In addition, the lower computer also transfer temperature data to the host computer, the data transmission process using serial communication protocol. The host computer can send temperature threshold like the interface of the personal computer, query node’s historical temperature record, and store data to a database for easy review. The host computer also can process and analyze corresponding data to drawing temperature change trend chart of a certain temperature point, etc.The temperature measuring technology of the new system is with more advantages compared to the existing systems. First, it reduces a lot of labor costs, and it is easier to be maintained. Secondly, temperature measurement is with higher real-time performance, improves system efficiency, it is ease to alarm when equipments are abnormal. Moreover, the interactive system is applied to the new system to manage and analyze data of the devices easily.
