| Nowadays a lot of 3D design software is used in the design process which is much faster and more convenient to modify than traditional manual drawing design. But the existing functions of the software can not totally meet the demands of product designs. So according to product design requirements of different enterprises, the software developers need to do secondary development to facilitate users to design, shorten the design cycle, improve the production efficiency and reduce the production cost eventually, through customizing functions for 3D software.Taking some company’s encapsulation machine uesd in the production line of flies incense’s packages as researching object, this paper is to develop a parametric design system consisting of parts module, assembly module and engineering drawing module, in the basis of Solidworks" secondary development. Based on the series production, the system will be able to acquire the functions of parametric modeling, automatic assembly and automatic producing engineering drawing, etc. The so called series products refer to those products of rather mature structures, which won’t change their toplogy structures with structures with the change of functional requirements but dimensions. According to the characteristics of series production, the developers build templates and models, then make parametric designs to them. Ultimately the parametric system develops a plug-in program which is a DLL format and SolidWorks seamlessly integrated dynamic link library, with the application of Visual C++6.0 software and combined with the SolidWorks API SDK for secondary development. Users can quickly get the structural designs of encapsulation mechanism by inputting the diameter of the flies incense onto human-computer interaction interface.The encapsulation machine can realize parametric design quickly by the parametric design system. And the final exported engineering drawing can meet the requirements of enterprises’production and processing. Therefore it has great pragmatic value for shortening the design cycle and reducing the cost of production. |
