The Smriti Of Chinese Traditional Spirit In Contemporary Landscape Architecture

The Chinese tradition is nearly lost in the contemporary design.The speed of cultural development is far behind the pace of economic and industrial development;therefore,a significant gap emerged.The Chinese philosophy is based on the Chinese culture,and containing the connotation of Chinese traditional culture as well as the ultimate step of civilization.I am trying to provide some new ideas and thoughts to Chinese traditional design via studying Chinese philosophy.Studying is based on the conception of Chinese traditional spirit,the background of garden art development,and the carrier of philosophy.I’m trying to describe,approach as well as restore the Chinese spirit,and also to reveal the connection between Chinese spirit and garden art.The paper mainly concludes the history of garden development,the evolution from Qindynasty to Yuan,Ming and Qing dynasty,and is thrown in some philosophy arguments with significant influence in order to reveal the changes and effects of philosophy and garden art on each other.The paper also discusses the culture from the philosophy angle to analyze Chinese spirit and based on the materials of literature and ancient books,and abstracts the most representative philosophy viewpoints as well as culture ideas to demonstrate Chinese spirit.At last,the epilogue goes back to the theme “The Smriti of Chinese Traditional Spirit in Contemporary Landscape Architecture” via studying case “Fang Ta Yuan”.
