Preservation And Development Research For Historical Villages In Urban-rural Area, With Village Xiao He For Example

Under the background of new normalcy economy, the big cities of China are gradually reaching the limitation of environment carrying capacity. As the big cities are losing their attraction, middle and small scope cites are becoming the principal part of urbanization. The edge area of cites, which are the pioneers of urbanization are the most complicate and the most changeable area. The national historical villages located at this area have the responsibility to preserve the historical and cultural heritages and to stand the progress of urbanization as well. And the contradiction of preservation and development are becoming more and more serious. This article takes Xiaohe village as an example, using analysis method like space syntax, ASEB, analogy analysis and so on with the New Type Urbanization strategy to evaluate the develop basis and current situation to seek the problems faced by Xiaohe. Then from the edge effect, the policy, the industry and the space condition four aspects to specific analysis the root of the problem for Xiaohe’s development and preservation. After taking a close look at the problems Xiaohe village was facing to, in view of the problem from two aspects of protection and development to put forward the solving strategy, summed up the direct solution for this village’s problems. Finally on the basis of the Xiaohe’s protection and development strategy formulated the village’s conservation and development planning, put the strategy into practice, to basic guide Xiaohe village’s future industrial development, village domain space protection, village environment coordination, the ancient village construction and renovation and the plan implementation, etc. Last part of the paper will first demonstrate the Xiaohe village’s universality of the protection and development model, by comparing the urban fringe area problem of difference of traditional villages and Xiaoh, to verify if protect and development model and planning strategy implemented in other villages is appropriate or equally efficiency. Then the article deduced the Xiaohe village’s possible future development direction and the problems it may encounter during the process of development.
