With the continuous expansion of the scale of urban population in Beijing, travel demand continues to grow, the problem of urban traffic congestion even more prominent. Urban rail transit as a large capacity, convenient and efficient way to travel, can make up for the lack of road traffic. In order to ease traffic congestion and facilitate public travel, Beijing vigorously develops urban rail transit. The rapid development of urban rail transit in Beijing has played an important role in alleviating the pressure of traffic and people’s travel. However, in the process of urban rail transit construction, the lack of time sequence arrangement is reasonable, which leads to the late construction sequence of some main lines, and affects the overall transport efficiency of the road network. Therefore, it is very important to study the reasonable construction sequence of Beijing urban rail transit, which is of great significance to improve the transportation efficiency of urban rail transit network.Combining both at home and abroad of timing studies of the urban rail transit construction, in order to improve the transportation efficiency as the goal, of Beijing urban rail construction timing research is divided into two parts, namely of Beijing urban rail is evaluation of the timing of line construction and the Beijing Planning of urban rail line construction sequence study. For the existing network, using quantitative analysis method, by the two index of daily passenger strength and average daily traffic density, carries on the analysis to the Beijing mass transit railway transport efficiency, revealing the problems existed in the construction sequence. Through analysis, we know that:(1) the timing of Beijing urban rail transit trunk line 9, on the 10th line,6th line, on the 7th line construction lag; (2) radiation Yizhuang line, line, Changping, Fangshan Line and leading to the Shunyi District line 15 construction timing advance, resulting in the overall road transport efficiency is low. For the Beijing urban rail transit planning, the use of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis methods to study the reasonable construction sequence. In order to determine the route planning and reasonable construction sequence, construction important degree of the line model based on transport efficiency, first of all of route planning, which is important for quantitative analysis. Further use traffic location deals with wire mesh grading theory of qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis sorting results supplement and correction, and finally determine the reasonable planning and construction of urban rail transit projects in Beijing Construction timing scheme. The 12 planning project construction sequence is divided to three, the level in priority to the construction of a sequential circuit should include four, respectively, line 3, line 12,19 line 1 and 17 line; secondary priority to the construction of a sequential circuit should include 5, respectively Beijing APM line, Changping Line South extension, Fangshan line north extension, Batong Line South extension, on the 7th Line East extension; construction of level 3 sequential circuit should be 3, respectively, line 8, three South extension, the airport line east extension and Pinggu line.
