With the steady development of China’s economy, construction industry develops fast. A large number of buildings were built in a short period of time, but high quality buildings were not very much. Some buildings even blindly pursuit of huge, worship everything foreign and pursuit of weird. Under the current situation, architects should maintain a more rigorous design attitude, and strive to build more "applicable, economic,green and beautiful” architectural works.The reason for the formation of architectural style is complex. It is composed of the architects growth background, architectural ideas, the age he lived and other factors.Architectural works final presentation combines personal factors of architects,surrounding or environment, capital funds of the client, government policies and so on.It is hard to objectively announce a building is beautiful or not under the complex situation. As architects, we should cultivate the aesthetic which conformity with public and scientific rationality. This requires us to learn more from the grandmaster’s works which had received popular recognition, trying to find out the aesthetic characteristics of its geometrical composition.This article mainly targets on Toyo Ito and Shigeru Ban’s work who won the Pulitzer Architecture Award recently. Systematically analysis their respective design method in master plan and environment, plan and space, facade and shape, structure and material. Compare and analysis their design methods and trying to find the aesthetic rules in architectural design, helping us to establish a correct concept of beauty and ugliness, guiding us to make better buildings.
