Toyo Ito Form Of Language Analysis

We are standing at the crossway between the mechanical age and the digital age. Nowadays, merchandise and information are overflowing; so, we can't turn the ideal life to the clear picture. But in despite of our imagination of future society, in the architectural design field, we are still depending on the expression of vision forms. On the road to the digital age, we have not found out the representative vision forms yet. Based on the culture history of modern architecture, I make an analysis on the Japanese traditional culture and today's characteristic of age, and point out the Toyo Ito's special architectural language. I also try to analyze its context, and demonstrate its relation to the modernism and "metabolism". Accordingly, I haveeduced the Toyo Ito's formal language structure--temporary, flow and transparence. This is Toyo Ito'sreply to the digital society. This is his expression of vision forms. So, this article stressed his idiographictechnique--the principle of composition, the technique of form, the technique of space, the use of materialand the historic language.Based on the serious of analysis and summarizing, this paper introduces the new architecture's revolutionprocess carried out by Toyo Ito in the moment of age subrogation--By using the new technology and thenew thoughts, Toyo Ito deducted the soul of modern architecture over again.
