As an important part of the meteorological modern system and the basis of the weather forecast and meteorological service development, Meteorological observation system plays important role both in the national disaster prevention and reduction and in dealing with climate change. Meteorological automatic observation is an important support meteorological system modernization, the foundation of advancing modern meteorological observation ability, and an important task of national system construction for meteorological science and technological innovation. The development of modern science and technology, especially the rapid development of modern information technology and remote sensing technology, promote automatic meteorological observation ability and level unceasingly, has been applied a lot of new equipment, new methods. The original given priority to with artificial observation of meteorological service system is undergoing fundamental change. In this process of the change, in order to adapt to the weather forecast precision demand, automatic meteorological observation instruments and equipment used in great quantities, make the meteorological observation time and the spatial resolution is greatly increased, meteorological observation information into multiple geometric growth, observation data visualization and analysis of application becomes an weak link in meteorological operations. How to use the intuitive visualization methods to the weather forecast service personnel and policymakers meteorological observation information is the current important scientific problem facing meteorological observation data in the application.The spatial Information System is used for collecting, storing, managing, operating, analyzing, displaying and describing the relevant data of the whole earth surface(including the atmosphere) or local space, is gm technology for analyzing and processing massive Geographic data. Since its birth, as an emerging discipline, GIS has a very wide range of applications in the construction of social and economic,plays an important role in the field of various and construction of information system. As a branch of earth science, the information of meteorological science has obvious spatial distribution characteristic. How to make use of geographic information system technology to solve meteorological information processing and analysis in the application of the scientific research and business problems is meteorological work application technology research and development of a key area, has important scientific significance and application value.This study based on a project "Ningxia automatic station observation information analysis application system design and development", closely combined with practical work, the specific requirements to meteorological operations around the ground-based observations of meteorological information visualization technology, carry out technology research and system construction, and USES the DELPHI development platform in the ESRI ARCGIS Mapobject2.0, Surfer8.0, SQL Server database, based on the integrated application of COM technology and OLEAuotmation technology, database technology and so on research and development of the automatic meteorological station data analysis application systems in Ningxia, in Ningxia area, city and county level 3 meteorological operations in the popularization and application, has obtained the good application effect.
