With the development of the society, all kind of data change quickly. So the key is how to deal with it.The visualization of 3D data not only become more important in the experiments for structures and data processing, but improve the post-processing of FEM software, especially extracting and effectively displaying data. It should catch our eyes that the visualization of data can perfectly display the dam's 3D and easily demand the inner physics property. It is available to accurately display the physics property of a given district.The system directly deals with the data which get from the FEM software by inserting OpenGL standard library function into facing objects programme langue VC++6.0. (1) After dealing with the data, the elements are standarded according to the demand for displaying. We can arbitrarily select three points using mouse which are not in one line or input three points by dialog box in order to construct section plane. The next is using the plane to dissect the dam basing eight nodes, three dimensions and six planes element. So they can be displayed that the dam's arbitrary section plane and the physics cloud graph third dimension. Therefore the inner data bringing by the finite element software are effectively extracted and dramatically displayed. (2) We make use of contradictorily questing 3B spline control points to study out dam's contour. The concrete crack is irregular shape, so it is difficult in simulation.But the fractal can show it. In this paper, to take L system of the fractal theory describes the cracks. Accordingly we boost the precision to display the third dimension. (3) Following comparing with all methods to produce the iso-line, to choice the quadrangle gridding method which is made for displaying the dam by layer. We adopt the St.Andrew element dissection iso-line arithmetic in dealing with saddle points. Doing this assures the rapidity and precision to display the sio-line. The iso-line accurately displays physics property of the dam on the geometry graph.It's in order to expediently use for all users to design a friendly and terse interface. We can rotate, move and scale the displaying graphics by controlling the mouse. What we have done can fleetly display the physics property of the object from every azimuth. We can observe the whole transformation process because of the animated cartoon.
