| In the process of the city development,it’s a problem that improving the living environment as well as keeping the space particularities in the old cities.This article studies the renew of XuFu street in Kaifeng which represents the typical living spatial pattern of the traditional blocks there.Firstly,in the background of a complex times,we discuss the conception of the compound spatial form and the practical space mechanism during the renew of block.Secondly,we propose the multivariate density of the spatial pattern related to the conception of compound spatial form and design the situation which meets the demands of tourism development in Kaifeng.In a word,the main point of this article lies in promoting a kind of flexible design in order to change the similarity of cities and to discover and preserve the characteristic of the old cities.The article clarifies these points through three parts:Part One—chapter one and chapter two.In these two chapters,we analysis the multi-party behavior related to the renew of the block and summarize the current living style and the influencing factors to it in XuFu street. We point that special living style in XuFu street is related to its spatial pattern. This living style represents the characteristics of Kaifeng and deserves to be inherited.Part two,we propose the multivariate density of spatial pattern based on the conception of compound spatial form. By summing up the features of the spatial form in XuFu street,we list five spatial forms during the change of spatial form in XuFu street. They’re Narrow Countyard,Connected Network System,Small-scale Pattern, Intermediary Space and Fractal Structure. Combined with the conclusion of chapter two,we list the ingredient of the multivariate density block.Part three—we make a design talking about the renew of XuFu street using the learning design method. According to the spatial pattern and special spatial mechanism which got in the chapter three, we discuss the ways to operate the multivariate density of spatial pattern,including the derivation of space unit,the preservation of the Connected network system and the fractal spatial structure,theconstruction of the hierarchy of scale and the consecutiveness of the space interface. |
