A Study On Urban Spatial Form Based On Density

The human city was born in the Neolithic Age.After a long period of development,it has now become the residence of most people in the world.Humanity began to enter the urban era.From the second half of the 20th century,the development of globalization triggered a new round of urbanization.The urban population in the world is constantly increasing,and the spatial scope affected by urban life is continuously expanding Unprecedented urban phenomena are constantly emerging,and the process of urbanization has changed from the result of production to the means of reproduction Therefore,people need to re-recognize the agglomeration of resources,items,and information,and make new interpretations of the agglomeration and distribution of urban space.This article is an attempt to understand the essence of urban agglomeration from the perspective of density.Density exists as a physical property with the formation of urban space.At the same time,density is also a cultural property with economic and social significance.The definition of density concept itself reflects the way people understand and use urban space.In this paper,the concepts of floor area ratio,building coverage ratio and average storeys,which are commonly used in academic circles,are selected as the research variable.In the quantitative research,the research method of "yuan"is introduced,and the urban space is regarded as a collection of standard research units of one square kilometer.From the examples and theories of various urban spatial forms in different historical periods,regional cultures,and social economics,the samples of the standard research units are selected to establish the "Urban Spatial Density Radar Coordinate System".By analyzing the present facts and developmental contexts of spatial density in the history of human urban development,it is proposed that the advancement of science and technology makes the spatial density of modern cities appear distinctively different The concept of density appears one after another and has a profound impact on the formation of contemporary urban spatial form.Density has gradually evolved into an important property of urban spatial form,and in the future,the new concept of spatial density will emerge as the urban spatial form changesFurther,this paper takes urban space within the inner ring of Shanghai as the main case and interprets the city as a massive and complex data processing system,focusing on the relationship between human activity agglomeration and urban spatial differentiation.Seven urban context elements are selected to analyze the multi-factor impact of spatial density,and to explore the differentiation characteristics and formation mechanism of contemporary urban spatial density on a larger scale.Through first-hand data research,this paper proves that the spatial structure of Shanghai inner ring is still based on motor vehicle transportation,and it shows a very uneven situation between Pudong and Puxi.Compared with the density situation of Manhattan,there is still a large potential for improvement in general.In view of the large cities such as Shanghai that have completed the preliminary urbanization stage based on the scale expansion of land use,this paper proposes that in the future urban spatial structure optimization and space quality improvement,density differentiation can be regarded as the core framework of spatial structural organization.This paper also selected two urban centers in Shanghai(People's Square and Lujiazui Central Distric)for density differentiation research,and compared with four urban centers of world cities.The results show that the overall floor area ratio of both of them needs to be improved,and it is recommended that the overall building coverage ratio of Lujiazui Central Distric can be increased to around 30%.This paper hopes to reflect quantitative research as the important cornerstone of spatial morphology research with real and effective data collation and scientific analysis,clarify the theoretical value and practical significance of urban spatial density research.
